Joint start, first to cross the finishline after 18 laps wins! You have 15 laps to drive 2 alternative tracks (extra long laps) which are implimented to get some distance between the drivers as well as options. The remaining laps are run as usual. If you miss the alternative tracks, you end up last in your final group.
Medals are awarded to the winners on the podium and a photo of all competitors is taken.

RULES
You can read the rules here.
2 qualifying heats of 7 laps each, final is 18 laps. No age limit but you have to drive adult kart. In the finals, the driver starting last chooses kart and kart position first. The top 3 drivers from the previous race start in qualifying group 1. Always a runner-up promotion from B-final to A-final. All participants receive points:
25 points for 1st place, 24 for 2nd, and so on—everyone gets at least 1 point. Pole position and winning any final except the A-final grants 1 additional point.
You race as you are, no weights on person or kart.
Start lights: Hands on the steering wheel and feet on the pedals.
Flashing yellow light: Obstacle on the track. Overtaking is prohibited except when passing the obstacle. Pass with reduced speed and keep a safe distance.
Red light: Walking speed after the chicane. The finish line is under the projector screens. Park in the designated area.
Blue-flagged drivers must immediately ease off the throttle, move to the outside line, and allow one kart to pass.
During qualifying, the blue flag is shown directly to drivers who are being caught.
In the final, the blue flag is shown at the second marshal post after being caught. If the lapped driver does not create a gap, the blue flag is shown again at the next marshal post.
In a pack (three or more drivers in a row), the blue flag is only shown to the driver at the front.
Once lap 15 has begun in the final, only lapped drivers will be shown the blue flag.
10-second stop. Two black flags in the same race result in the driver being placed last and instructed to park.
A black flag is issued when a driver does not follow the rules.
Causing a collision or forcing another driver off track (all forms of contact must be avoided) will lead to penalties. The driver behind must always yield. You are considered “behind” until you are fully alongside the driver ahead.
Race direction usually judges based on the situation of the leading driver.
A black flag may also be issued for:
– Ignoring yellow lights or blue flags
– Performing a brake stop
– Driving at high speed on the straight during red light
Everyone can make mistakes, but if a mistake has serious consequences for another driver, a black flag will be shown.
If you have spun or come to a stop, you must yield to others when rejoining.
Drive the alternative route twice during the final, after crossing the start/finish line and before starting lap 15.
If you do not follow this rule, you will be placed last in your heat.
Drivers who take the alternative route more than twice will receive a round of applause 🙂
Drivers in the alternative route must give 100% right of way and must not interfere in any way with drivers on the main route.
A go-kart will be replaced if it has an obvious defect.
If the race director determines that a kart is significantly different from the others, it will be replaced if possible.
If a kart breaks down due to an obvious defect after lap 15 has begun, the driver retains their position until the finish.
The race director has the final say in all interpretations.
The race director may disqualify a driver for unsportsmanlike behavior; a disqualified driver will be placed last in the race.
Avoid speaking to flag marshals during the finals. Any discussions regarding decisions (“one-on-one talks”) will take place after the award ceremony.
We welcome suggestions on how our gokart race can be improved.
Do not hesitate to ask if there is something you think is strange or don’t understand.
After the award ceremony, a group photo is taken and posted on the website. So feel free to stay the whole race.
